Our Story

A sensory box that stands out from the rest.

Introducing my boy Jack! My business partner and the real face behind My Sensory Mind.

Our sensory journey began with Jacks ASD diagnosis. After hours of OT sessions, we discovered the power of sensory play and started making our set ups together at home.

It was Jack that asked if we could start selling our sensory play and from there My Sensory Mind was started

Our business name represents Jacks neurodiversity and the sensory ways he experiences the world around him.

Jack is the sensory expert behind our products! Together we brainstorm play kit ideas and search for stock items.

Our sensory kits are designed for everyone! We have a team of play experts (our neighborhood friends) boys and girls aged from 2 to 12 of all abilities that try and test each new kit. Their feedback is vital to our final design.

Our aim is to promote child development through sensory play by creating affordable products that capture children's interest. Each item in our sensory play kits is designed with a purpose, to promote learning through play.

Whilst I do the majority of the work Jack reminds me that he is the boss of the business and enjoys roblox as his reward of the hours I spend working on our dream.

WHY PLAY MATTERS

Open-ended play is imaginative and unstructured. It allows children to play freely without set rules, allowing their imagination to direct their play. Open-ended play provides a child with independence to explore their world and provides developmental benefits for their individual growth. Children learn through play! Play increases cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
